Network Services Life Cycle

TranTech uses a standard system life cycle methodology for network support services. This methodology has been developed and refined based on lessons learned and experience gained on numerous networking projects. The methodology is comprised of several phases, each of which has predefined inputs and outputs, where outputs from one phase generally comprise the inputs for the next phase. The methodology also uses a number of manual and automated tools in each phase. One of the unique features of this methodology is that one or more distinct phases of this methodology can be applied to a particular requirement independent of other phases, depending on the exact scope of the project. For instance, the methodology can be used to only perform planning and analysis for a new network development project, or the high-level architecture design and detailed system design phases can be used for a project where the planning and analysis has already been performed by another party. Yet in another instance, it can be used to provide enhancements or changes to a system that has been in an operational mode.
