ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 2006--TranTech, Inc., announced today that Paul G. O'Brien has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Mr. O'Brien will be responsible for managing the firm's business development, program performance, and administrative activities, as well as leading the achievement of TranTech's strategic growth goals.

Mr. O'Brien's extensive experience and leadership in developing and growing IT organizations will be a significant contributor to TranTech's strategic development. His impressive track record, spanning 30+ years in the IT industry, includes over 23 years with PRC, later Litton PRC, and now Northrop Grumman IT (NGIT). Mr. O'Brien began work at PRC as the Executive Director for its computer centers; in 1991, he was appointed Vice President and served as General Manager of PRC's Technology Solutions and later started its Health Informatics Solutions division, taking a single, IDIQ, contract with no revenue in 1996 and building it into a multiple contract, fast-growth enterprise in just a few years, employing over 500 people in 6 states by 2001. Since 2002, he managed the NGIT Applied Science and Technology Division, with over 400 people serving civilian agencies including the Departments of Commerce and Interior, NASA, EPA and NRC. He has been a leader in maintaining high customer satisfaction in service delivery, contract performance, and staff development, as well as achieving an outstanding record in winning new Federal IT business.
