Several area firms win spots on $9b DISA contract

Several area firms have won prime spots on the Defense Information Systems Agency's Encore project, an effort to provide improved systems integration among Defense Department agencies for which up to $2 billion has been allocated.

Listed as small businesses on the contract are Pragmatics Inc., of McLean, Va., and TranTech, of Alexandria, Va.

Other DISA winners with a local presence are: Computer Sciences Corp., with offices in Falls Church, Va., Electronic Data Services Corp., with offices in Herndon, Va., Northrop Grumman Information Technology Systems, of McLean, TRW Systems, of Fairfax, Va., and the U.S. government group of Unisys, of McLean.
