Voice of America

TranTech provides 24 x 7 network and server support for the International Broadcasting Board/Voice of America. We monitor network and servers and provide support for the production systems specified by the customer. We monitor mission critical broadcast systems to detect and identify system anomalies and coordinate the immediate response of the various IBB/VOA system support organizations. In addition, we coordinate with the various hardware vendors to resolve system hardware problems and schedule routine maintenance, perform system administration duties, such as account administration, file and directory administration, system maintenance, and parts inventories for these critical international communications systems. We monitor all systems used by the Integrated Digital Audio Production System (IDAPS) including file servers, audio conversion servers, database servers, and newswire servers as well as all of the studio producer and tech workstations. We also monitor the on-air broadcast Dalet Audio in-house program which is used to create, edit, record, and playback audio and allows users to browse, download, and upload sound files.
