Toronto’s use of TranTech’s enterprise system will connect seven geographically dispersed police divisions, using a solution that includes software, hardware and support services to deliver an integrated digital evidence management system for a “collar to conviction” program.

Toronto will use TranTech’s MediaSolv™ VIS Metropolitan, which supports prisoner processing areas and interview rooms in locations around the city. It is networked, with centralized storage and easy access by authorized personnel from any location within the organization.

TranTech’s comprehensive solution will produce digital evidence from the time a suspect is brought through the door. TranTech will provide its expertise for every aspect of video recording, audio recording, storage, accessibility, and interfacing with Toronto Police Services’ existing Information Technology infrastructure.
